REMULLA: We will be Stricter in the Coming Days

Ayon sa panayam ngayong Lunes ni Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla sa ABS-CBN News, mas magiging mahigpit ang pamahalaan sa pagpapatupad ng mga protocol ngayong sasailalim ang buong lalawigan ng Cavite sa MECQ o Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Pahayag nito, nais niyang isailalim ulit ang lalawigan ng Cavite ngunit ito ay hindi naaprubahan. “I have applied to it [placing Cavite under ECQ] a long time ago, maybe 3-4 weeks ago, I asked that we place Cavite under ECQ because our doubling time was getting shorter and shorter.” paliwanag ni Remulla

“But the effects of the economy of Cavite closing would be detrementous to the entire country so they asked me to stay on GCQ and not ECQ.” dagdag nito.

Kaya naman ngayong sasailalim ang Cavite sa MECQ sa loob ng 14 na araw, sisiguraduhin umano ng gobernador na mas magiging mahigpit sa lalawigan. “On our end, we have always been stricter than the other place in the greater Metro Manila and we will be stricter now in the coming days.” ani Remulla.

Paglilinaw naman nito, ang paghihigpit na gagawin ay hindi katulad ng ECQ. “We have the largest manufacturing base in the country and if we close it down, it will affect the country greatly.” aniya.

“Under ECQ, they are only allowed at 50%. We will allow about 75-80% to operate and we will still allow other industries to operate even if we are under MECQ.” paglilinaw nito.

Samantala, nakatakda naman na maglabas ng mas detalyadong guidelines ang gobernador para sa paparating na MECQ sa buong lalawigan ng Cavite simula Agosto 4 hanggang Agosto 18.
